Deputy president William Samoei Ruto and Baringo Senator Gedion Moi met at a burial function of former KANU stalwart the late Hosea Kiplagat in Baringo County on Friday February 19.
Although the two political arch rivals tried as much as possible to downplay their difference, keen observers noted how they tried to outsmart each other by outlining development projects they have been lobbying for.
During his speech Deputy president Ruto mentioned several roads in Baringo which Jubilee government was working on to open up the county.
Among the roads, Deputy president mentioned included one that begins from Kamkunji area to Kapkitur , one junction then to Mugurin and Mogotio.
“You remember we also promised to construct this road from Kamkunji to Kisang’ala to Kapkitur then one junction going to Mugurin and another one to Mogotio. The contract for this road will be opened on March 10.” Said Deputy president William Ruto.
During his speech, Gedion too claimed the same roads and credited president Uhuru Kenyatta for the work.
